“Our economy and business community are vital components of a healthy community,” says Stuart Harrison, President & CEO, Peterborough Chamber of Commerce. “Our local business owners are looking for a framework from government that allows them to thrive right here in our community as well as outside our borders.”
“This is a good opportunity for our election candidates to talk about what they plan to do to keep our local economy thriving,” says Terry Guiel, Executive Director of the Peterborough Downtown Business Improvement Area. “Our local businesses are facing more and more challenges and it’s important that our MP have a robust plan to address these challenges and keep people working right here in our community.”
“REALTORS® in Peterborough and the Kawarthas are looking for each parties’ position on the construction of new housing, regionally sensitive adjustments to lending rules and mortgage regulations. Housing attainability and affordability is a key issue in our community, we need leaders who are working to support housing affordability right across the country.”
Cathy Burningham, President of PKAR
