PKAR is pleased to announce the YES Shelter for Youth and Families has been selected as our 2022 Realtors Care® charity.
“Unfortunately, homeless youth and families face many barriers finding stable housing in our community and across the province.” Remarked Kate Kidd, 2022 President of PKAR. “Housing is a priority for our REALTOR® members. The YES Shelter provides a vital service to some of the most vulnerable members of our community giving them a chance at a brighter future.”
Each year REALTOR® members of PKAR donate funds raised as part of their monthly donation and fundraising efforts to Realtors Care® which is then presented to a local charity that supports housing in our community.
Executive Director of YES, Aimeé Le Lagadec states, We’re extremely grateful to PKAR and Peterborough REALTOR® members for helping us keep our Emergency Shelter and RISE Youth Housing Program going. It means that more Peterborough young people and families will be supported out of homelessness and into stable, positive lives. Our whole community benefits when homelessness declines.”
PKAR would like to thank our member community for their continued support of our charitable work, together we can make a difference.
